Brompton pump placement.

Brompton pump meets back wheel

The Pump on my Brompton came on a little holder that goes down beside the back wheel. It gets filthy and so is always dirty and even the rubber seal that they put in does not stop the dirt getting inside so it's never been that great. But the other day it slipped it's moorings and rather than just dropping off it headed into my spokes. Luckly I was just setting off so there was not a lot of damage done to the bike. Just one new spoke but I think the pump may be a bit of a right off. I had a neat idea of making a pump that fitted down the centre of the top tube, just clips into a little bung. It would then be nicely hidden most of the time and always clean and ready to go. With the new curve on this pump it would fit nicely.

15 Years later and the glass is replaced.

I finally got a replacement for the glass in this lantern that I smashed quite some years ago. Just stumbled upon it when browsing the rather cool camping equipment site Backpack Light. So if you are after a replacement glass for the UCO Corporation candle lantern they are the folks to go to. Very quick service too. But to beware that you could spend a fortune there on lots of cool stuff.
